SLO® at ISC-Erbil Organizes Annual Food Drive
The entire student body at ISC-Erbil participated in the Annual Food Drive organized by the Student Life Organization® (SLO®). Students from kindergarten through to Grade 12 were all asked to bring in non-perishable food items to school. SLO® prefects collected all the donations and bagged them in 240 separate bags for donation to underprivileged families in Erbil. Approximately 120 families received 2 bags of assorted items and thanked the students for their generosity.
Through ISC-Erbil’s outreach efforts, students enjoy the chance to develop leadership skills, learn to empathize with others, and realize that the welfare of their local community is a shared responsibility, all of which enables them to become active and responsible global citizens.
