Peer tutoring kicks off at ISC-Erbil
The SLO® team at ISC-Erbil wasted no time in launching the peer tutoring program at the onset of the 2013-14 academic year. Based on students’ end-of-year performance from the previous academic year, the SLO® team, with the aid of the school’s Academic Quality Controllers (AQCs), quickly identified students that needed additional academic support. They then selected students in the same class who are good in a particular subject to act as “peer tutors” and help them understand the subject material.
Peer tutoring is one example of how students at all SABIS® Member Schools across the globe are strongly encouraged to take an active role in their education and in helping their peers.
