ISC-Erbil SLO® Prefects Organize Event for KG and Grade 1 Students
In a special event for the International School of Choueifat-Erbil (ISC-Erbil) KG and Grade 1 students on their last day of school before Spring Break, SABIS Student Life Organization® prefects organized an event featuring several popular cartoon characters.
Dressed in costumes varying from Barney to Dora the Explorer, SLO™ prefects surprised KG and Grade 1 students with their visit. The characters were welcomed with smiles and applause. "The faces of the students lit up with joy and excitement to see the visitors," commented one organizer.
Students were eager to meet and talk to the characters. "It was an unforgettable moment when one KG student insisted on taking Barney home for dinner to meet his grandmother," said ISC-Erbil School Director, Dr. Humaira Bokhari.
The Student Life Organization, a key part of the SABIS® Educational System, provides students with opportunities to give back to the school community and campus, and in doing, fosters self-development, strong leadership skills, and attributes that prepare students for college and beyond.
A member of the SABIS® School Network, ISC-Erbil recently celebrated the achievement of reaching the 1000 student mark, growth that reflects the school's success in implementing the SABIS® Educational System and helping its students work toward their full potential.
