Accelerated Reader Spring Break project
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Reading is a great way for students to develop their imaginations and to improve their reading comprehension skills. We also know that students utilize technology everywhere they go. So, why not encourage your child to use their devices to read, learn, and grow?
Each child has an accelerated reader account through the school. During the holiday, your child can open their account and read articles on a variety of subjects as well as answer a very short comprehension quiz on what they read. The articles and quizzes only take about 15 minutes to complete and students can do as many as they want on topics they enjoy!
How to open articles:
- Select the Accelerated Reader Articles tile on their Home page and search for articles at the top of the page, browse them by topic using the tiles (Animals, Culture, etc.), or read one of the new articles in the list.
< >Select Read & Quiz and read the article. Then take a brief, three-question, quiz about it.
< >The school librarian will see the results of the article quizzes that students have taken during the break.Participating students will receive awards from the library for their participation.
