5th Annual Kindergarten Concert
On June 16, 2011, the school hosted the 5th Annual Kindergarten Concert and attracted more than 600 parents, staff, and community members who packed the ISC-Erbil auditorium to watch the students’ performance.
The students donned colorful costumes and performed a medley of songs that brought the crowd to their feet. “The audience’s favorite songs were ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ and ‘Humpty Dumpty’ which had most people singing along,” commented an ISC-Erbil staff member.
Grade 1 students came out to support the kindergarteners and performed an impressive ballet dance. An ISC-Erbil parent said, “The graceful ballerina’s pirouetted across the stage to a thunderous applause from the audience.”
The concert evening was very busy but extremely rewarding for everyone involved. Most importantly, the students had fun while performing their well-prepared songs and dances. “Their colorful costumes, and designs, looked magnificent and gave an added zest to the evenings. The elegant and graceful movements of the performers reflected the student’s pride and confidence, plus their skills, grace, talent, and stamina,” stated ISC-Erbil Director, Dr. Humaira Bokhari.
The audience members were thrilled with the students’ performance and expressed it at the close of the concert with cheers of satisfaction. Similar to past years, the Annual Kindergarten Concert was a huge success and welcomed and praised by all who attended.
